📣Project Lead

Mexico
Full Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Lead to join TZLA's team. This role is essential for ensuring successful project delivery, team coordination, and maintaining high operational standards across our workshops in Mexico, multiple HQs, international supply chains, and global membership base. Occasional travel required. This role requires comfort working across time zones and adapting to on-the-ground operational constraints (vendors, scheduling, supply, and production realities) as well as technical expertise in the delivery of high-tech solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading multiple projects from inception to completion
  • Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring clear communication
  • Implementing and maintaining project management methodologies, standards, and artifacts as defined by the PMO
  • Running a weekly project operating cadence (project reviews, decision log, risk register) that drives clear decisions and next actions
  • Maintaining a single source of truth in Notion (timeline, owners, dependencies, KPIs, meeting notes, and status)
  • Producing clear deliverables: project plans, stakeholder updates, KPI reporting, post-mortems, and SOP updates
  • Running structured discovery before committing timelines; surfacing dependencies and unknowns early
  • Identifying project risks early through structured discovery and cross-functional reviews
  • Escalating within 24 hours when delivery risk appears and driving fast cross-functional resolution
  • Leading post-mortems and converting findings into preventative controls and SOP updates
  • Creating and maintaining project KPIs and reporting against them weekly

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of project management experience
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and timelines
  • Expert-level Notion operations (databases, templates, clean structure, and lightweight automations); comfort adopting whatever tools are needed
  • Excellence in organizing, planning, and structuring complex, cross-functional projects
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining rigorous attention to detail
  • Clear, concise communication that drives alignment and accountability across teams
  • Excellent written communication (clear specs, concise updates, decision-useful notes, and documentation that becomes action)
  • Ability to translate messy, ambiguous scenarios into structured plans, SOPs, and measurable deliverables to achieve defined outcomes
  • Strong practical judgment and follow-through in dynamic environments

Preferred Skills

  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing or technical environments
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies

Core Tech Stack

  • Notion: Most of our operations go through Notion, making knowledge of this platform a must — mastery is the goal
  • CRM and Automations: GoHighLevel preferred — forms, pipelines, email/SMS, workflows. Equivalent platforms acceptable
  • Communications: Telegram groups, Google Workspace
  • Support signals: Zendesk insights to update backlog and FAQs

Working Style

  • Extreme ownership: proactively drive outcomes, not just updates
  • High standards: strong attention to detail, clear documentation, and measurable follow-through
  • Fast feedback loops: surface issues early, ask sharp questions, and drive decisions
  • Low ego: direct, respectful communication with a bias for clarity and action

KPIs You Will Own

  • On-time delivery rate across active projects
  • % of non-backlog Projects meeting PMO Hygiene (owners, dependencies, and dates) updated weekly
  • Internal Stakeholder Satisfaction Scores
  • Weekly KPI reporting cadence completion (on-time, accurate, decision-useful)
  • Post-mortems completed and converted into SOP/controls within 7 days of project close
