Position Overview

TZLA is hiring a HR Recruitment Manager to help drive growth across our teams. This role sits under the Talent & Human Resources umbrella and works closely with the Chief of Staff to maintain a disciplined, scalable operating system for recruitment, onboarding, training, performance, and talent lifecycle processes.

You will apply and improve established recruitment and HR processes the same way we treat Lean production: standards, signals, and continuous improvement. You will help operate both the “pipeline” of candidates and the “machinery” of our Talent and HR workflows, making sure they are clear, fair, efficient, and aligned with TZLA’s culture and expectations.

This is primarily remote, with occasional travel to our locations as dictated by project demand.

Reporting Line

  • Department: Talent & Human Resources
  • Reports to: Chief of Staff
  • Works closely with: C‑Level assistants, People Operations, Accounting & Finance, IT & Infrastructure, Production & Technology, Member Experience, Operations, Growth

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment Operations Support

  • Work with the Chief of Staff and managers to capture role needs and help translate them into clear, high‑bar job descriptions
  • Set up and maintain structured hiring scorecards for each role
  • Coordinate multi‑step recruitment funnels (screening questions, async tasks, interview scheduling, trial projects, references)
  • Support sourcing efforts through targeted channels
  • Ensure every stage has clear entry/exit notes and decisions are recorded accurately
  • Administer skills assessments (e.g., TestGorilla) and manage background checks

2. HR and Talent Process Administration

  • Document and update SOPs for HR and Talent workflows in Notion
  • Maintain onboarding and offboarding checklists by role archetype
  • Help execute performance reviews and 360s (templates, tracking, follow-ups)
  • Keep candidate pipelines and talent signals dashboards clean and up to date
  • Set up reminders for talent rituals and escalate at-risk items

3. Process Monitoring and Improvement Support

  • Track key metrics: response times, stage duration, conversion rates, and SOP adherence
  • Flag bottlenecks and suggest improvements to the Chief of Staff
  • Prepare simple dashboards for leadership visibility
  • Collect post-hire feedback to refine processes

4. Support to Chief of Staff and Managers

  • Act as a reliable operations partner on Talent and HR administration
  • Prepare pipeline briefs, status updates, and risk summaries
  • Coordinate calendars, reminders, and materials for hiring and review cycles

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in recruitment coordination, HR administration, or people operations support in a high‑performance environment
  • Familiarity with structured hiring processes and willingness to follow established frameworks
  • Strong process mindset with excellent organizational and documentation discipline
  • High technological acumen and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Clear, respectful communication with leaders and candidates
  • Strict confidentiality and high integrity
  • English required; Spanish strongly preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting rollout of HR and Talent systems
  • Exposure to membership-based or mission-driven organizations
  • Familiarity with 360 reviews and performance frameworks
