Position Overview

TZLA is looking for a Copywriter who writes like a weapon: precise, provocative, and impossible to ignore. You will drive the written voice of this organization — from cold lead reactivation sequences to partner campaign emails, testimonial case studies, landing page copy, and operational messaging that members read every day.

This is not a passive content role. You are the voice of a movement. Your copy will reach thousands of prospects weekly through influencer partner campaigns, email sequences, newsletters, video scripts, and showcase pages. You will write in a bold, direct-response style — challenging, anarchist, libertarian, and unapologetic.

This is a remote, Specialist-tier role within the Digital Studio, reporting to the Digital Manager, with tight collaboration with the Growth team.

Key Responsibilities

Direct-Response Email Sequences & Campaigns

• Own end-to-end copywriting for all outbound emails: cold lead reactivation, nurture flows, partner campaign emails, and transactional communications
• Write in TZLA’s signature challenging, sovereignty-driven voice

Operational & Member-Facing Copy

• Write system messages, onboarding flows, notices, FAQs, and automation-generated messaging

Newsletters & Ongoing Communications

• Write and produce both internal team newsletters and external member/prospect newsletters

Testimonials & Case Studies

• Own the testimonial content pipeline: interview members and turn raw experiences into compelling, structured case studies

Video Scripts & Creative Collaboration

• Write scripts for AI-generated videos and participate in creative sessions

Copy Systems & Reuse

• Maintain a reusable message library (headlines, blurbs, CTAs, disclaimers)

Compliance & Workflow

• Perform first-pass compliance reviews using Notion AI before submitting to Legal
• Review and optimize landing page and showcase page copy

Required Skills

• 5-7 years in direct-response copywriting, email marketing, or editorial content creation with measurable conversion results
• Portfolio showing long-form sequences that move people emotionally and drive action
• Proven ability to write in a challenging, provocative voice while staying persuasive and honest
• Experience with email sequence architecture and direct-response frameworks
• Strong self-editing skills and speed of execution
• Proficiency with Notion AI for drafting and compliance checking

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Porter Stansberry / Agora-style direct response
• Experience writing for health, wellness, sovereignty, or liberty-adjacent audiences
• Understanding of Private Membership Association (PMA) language and non-commercial framing
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Experience with GoHighLevel or similar platforms

KPIs You Will Own

• Velocity: Turnaround time from brief to approved draft (target: 48 hours for single emails)
• Quality: Low revision cycles and cleaner first drafts over time
• Compliance cleanliness: Percent of drafts passing first legal review without rework
• System reliability: Low rate of copy breaking automation logic
