As Systems Administrator, you will own the reliability, security, and day-to-day operation of TZLA’s integrated technology ecosystem.

This is a hands-on role with leadership-level responsibility: you will keep core systems stable, enforce access hygiene, and turn recurring operational pain into repeatable, documented systems.

You will report to the Technology Lead and ensure work moves through a clear intake, change control, and release cadence, with small-batch improvements shipping consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Architecture

  • Maintain a clear, pragmatic system architecture across the stack (identity/access, data flow, automations, and documentation)

  • Keep decisions lightweight, documented, and enforceable

Systems & Operations

  • Operate and harden the core stack (Notion, GoHighLevel, Zendesk, Google Workspace, hosting/infrastructure)

  • Own monitoring, backups, disaster recovery, and incident response readiness

Light End-User Technical Support (Remote)

  • Provide basic troubleshooting to unblock teammates when home-office connectivity or device issues impact work

  • Support via Telegram and remote session

  • Triage, document, and escalate when needed

Examples include:

  • WiFi/router quirks

  • VPN issues

  • Google Workspace access

  • Browser issues

  • Email/calendar problems

  • Notion access issues

Leadership & Team Building

  • Provide technical support and trainings that stick

  • Publish SOPs and operational standards

  • Run permission/access hygiene

  • Establish “how we do things” standards so the organization moves faster with less risk

Data & Accountability

  • Run a disciplined cadence with weekly shipping where possible

  • Track automation health, failures, time-to-fix, and recurring root causes

  • Improve operational reliability month over month

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of systems administration experience (or equivalent hands-on ownership of multi-system SaaS infrastructure)

  • Strong understanding of cloud-based services and SaaS platforms

  • Proficient in documentation and knowledge management systems (Notion)

  • Experience with CRM systems (GoHighLevel)

  • Knowledge of customer support platforms (Zendesk)

  • Proficient with APIs for system integration and data exchange (Zapier and/or similar)

  • Strong experience with user access management, permission structures, and security best practices

  • Strong incident response mindset: detect, triage, contain, recover, and write prevention plans

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly, troubleshoot effectively, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teammates

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with email server management and Google Workspace administration

  • Familiarity with hosting and infrastructure management

  • Experience with educational technology platforms

  • Knowledge of AI integration and implementation

  • Experience with crypto and trad-fi processing systems and fintech tooling

  • Experience with community management platforms such as Telegram

  • Background in inventory management systems

  • Notion: Wiki, project management, documentation systems

  • CRM & Automations: GoHighLevel; Zapier (and/or similar) for integrations

  • Communications: Telegram groups, Google Workspace

  • Support Signals: Zendesk (member and admission ticket management)

KPIs You Will Own

  • System uptime and service reliability across the core stack

  • Security posture (access hygiene, permission accuracy, and access review cadence)

  • Mean time to detect and mean time to resolve for operational incidents

  • Backup / restore readiness and disaster recovery reliability

  • Automation reliability (integration error rate, alerting coverage, and time-to-fix)
