Position Overview

TZLA is seeking a Full Stack Developer for Internal Systems and Automations to prototype, build, and ship internal software that closes execution gaps across the organization.

This role exists to reduce manual workload, strengthen operational reliability, and connect systems so teams can execute faster with less overhead.

This is not a “generic web app” role. The center of gravity is automation, integrations, and operational reliability across TZLA’s internal systems, with disciplined documentation and change control.

You will report to the Technology Lead and partner with functional owners to deliver end-to-end outcomes:

intake → build → release → monitoring → iteration

📍 Remote | Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Automation and integrations (core)

  • Build production-grade automation workflows that integrate TZLA systems (CRM, support, analytics, messaging, and internal databases)

  • Design for safe retries, idempotency, rate limits, and clear failure handling

  • Extend workflow platforms with code (TypeScript and Python) where needed

Internal product development

  • Build and maintain internal dashboards, lightweight web apps, and operational tools that reduce manual work

  • Implement pragmatic data models that support reporting, traceability, and downstream AI use

Applied AI enablement (governed, practical)

  • Implement AI-assisted workflows that are usable in operations, with clear acceptance criteria

  • Follow internal governance frameworks for AI and automation (logging, auditability, versioning, approval checkpoints, and controlled rollouts)

  • Optimize for reliability and cost control, including batching, caching, routing, and prompt/version discipline

Systems integration engineering

  • Integrate across systems using APIs and webhooks (authentication, pagination, data contracts, and webhooks at scale)

  • Collaborate with IT/Infrastructure on deployment, monitoring, and operational stability

Documentation and operational discipline

  • Maintain clear Notion documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for what you build

  • Provide rollback plans for changes that affect production workflows or data structures

Departmental project management enablement

  • Streamline departmental project management by improving intake quality, workflow clarity, and automation-assisted status hygiene

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong full stack development experience (front end, back end, and databases)

  • Proficiency with TypeScript and Python (preferred) in real production environments

  • Familiar with Docker image deployment, including building, tagging, pushing, and running images in real environments

  • Proficient with Node.js and a firm grasp of JavaScript

  • Familiarity with software delivery pipelines and initiative delivery, including build → test → release

  • Comfortable working with Git-based version control workflows

  • Systems administration basics, including backup and restore verification duties for production data

  • Practical AI implementation skills in production contexts

  • Proven ability to build and ship reliable internal systems

  • Deep experience integrating systems via APIs, webhooks, and service-to-service authentication

  • Strong grasp of data modeling and building practical dashboards and reporting surfaces

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code with pragmatic testing and release discipline

Required Working Style

  • Bias toward speed with accountability: ship fast, then harden

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity

  • Adherence to the IT/Infrastructure operating model

  • Strong written communication and documentation discipline (Notion-first)

  • High ownership: identify problems, propose solutions, and drive to completion

  • Operational maturity: you don’t “just build” — you monitor, support, and improve

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with production automation platforms such as n8n

  • Experience building Telegram bots and messaging workflows

  • Experience integrating CRM, support, and analytics systems

  • Familiarity with AI-first workflows and practical use of LLMs in production systems

Core Tech Stack, Common Surfaces

  • Notion: documentation, databases, operational execution

  • Runtime: Node.js

  • Packaging/Deployment: Docker

  • Communications: Telegram, Google Workspace

  • Automation runtime: n8n

  • Support signals: Zendesk

  • CRM / Ops tooling: GoHighLevel, Inflow, Active Campaign

  • Analytics: Matomo

What Success Looks Like, First 30–90 Days

  • Ship 2–3 production workflows or internal tools with measurable operational impact

  • Deliver at least one integration improvement that increases reliability

  • Implement at least one AI-assisted workflow that adheres to governance frameworks

  • Leave behind clear Notion documentation so the system is operable by the team
