Position Overview
TZLA Club seeks a scale-obsessed operator who has taken physical product organizations from early traction to institutional scale. You'll inherit a proven model with explosive member demand and transform it into a repeatable growth engine.
The CEO serves as the strategic architect and chief public representative of TZLA Club, operating in concert with the President to drive the organization’s mission and impact. Primary work is remote with expected domestic and international travel for operational scale-up, production oversight, and key partner meetings. We specifically welcome unvaccinated applicants who maintain a critical perspective on conventional medical systems.
The Scaling Challenge
TZLA Club has achieved 960+ members through bootstrapped, founder-led growth. We're now at the inflection point where Member demand is set to require a reinvention of our current production chain, and set new ones to launch new product and add-ons.
You'll step into TZLA with strong operational foundations, healthy capital reserves, and direct mentorship from our founder as you architect the next phase of scale.
Key Responsibilities
The CEO provides strategic leadership and will drive the scaling phase of TZLA Club, after our explosive bootstrapped runway. CEO will be owning the talent, capital, and systems KPIs.
Core responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership & Board Relations: Lead seven C-level executives in collaboration with a three-seat Board of Directors; develop and communicate long-term strategy with the Head of Design; serve as the Board's main point of contact and trusted advisor for high-level oversight
- External Partnerships & Advocacy: Lead targeted advocacy when directed by the Board while maintaining day-to-day focus on talent, operations, and systems
- Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure sound governance frameworks, ethical standards, and compliance systems are maintained; set policy-level expectations for access governance, data integrity, and regulatory compliance with cross-functional accountability
- Operational Scale-Up: Unblock bottlenecks across production, shipping, and facilities during high-growth phases; lead crisis response for production outages, logistics disruptions, and reputational events with clear incident playbooks
- Talent & Organization Design: Guide executive hiring, succession planning, and compensation architecture for C-level and critical roles in conjunction with C-level management
Required Technical Skills
- Scaling mastery: demonstrated ability to take an organization from early traction toward unicorn scale; proven track record building repeatable systems for capital, operations, and talent that compound growth without breaking as headcount and complexity increase.
- 5+ years leading production, supply chain, and logistics for hardware/physical goods; demonstrated ability to scale while maintaining quality standards; direct experience with cross-border manufacturing and customs
- Capital efficiency: experience managing board dynamics at growth stage; able to deploy capital strategically across programs, member acquisition, and infrastructure while maintaining discipline on resource efficiency and operational sustainability
- Systems integration and fulfillment operations: Senior ownership of cross-system reliability and data flow across ERP/InFlow, CRM/GoHighLevel, payments, and support tooling with clear SLOs and incident pathways; implemented or optimized inventory systems and owned end-to-end fulfillment ops including warehousing, pick/pack/ship, and returns
- Org design at inflection points: skilled at reorganizing teams, spans of control, and reporting structures as the organization crosses 50, 100, and 200+ employees; ensures clarity of accountability and decision rights even as layers are added
- Cross-functional orchestration: coordinates programs, engineering, member acquisition, outreach and operations to move in lockstep; removes silos and ensures initiatives that span functions are resourced and shipped on time. Data and analytics leadership: sets the bar for decision quality using dashboards, KPIs, and causal analysis; defines what “good data” looks like and enforces data integrity across systems
- Metrics rigor and forecasting: establishes North Star metrics, cohort analysis, and rolling forecasts that guide resource allocation and strategic pivots; makes data-driven calls on where to double down and where to cut
- Culture preservation under growth stress: maintains high-performance culture, values, and decision quality even as the team grows rapidly; invests in onboarding, rituals, and communication cadences that scale
- Knowledge management: establishes high standards for documentation, briefs, and decision logs in Notion; drives adoption across teams
Required Soft Skills
- Communication and decision hygiene: crisp written briefs, clear decision logs, and cadence discipline consistent with C-level and Board rhythms.
- Incident leadership: able to lead fast response for power, logistics, and reputational events, with tight communications and clear incident playbooks.
- Ability to operate in constrained environments with urgency, focus, and high standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- AI strategy and governance: experience setting an organization-wide approach to AI, including use cases, risk controls, model selection, data privacy, and acceptable use policies; able to balance speed with safety and compliance
- Automation leverage: proven track record deploying AI and non-AI automation to remove toil and increase throughput in operations, support, marketing, and finance
- Executive hiring and org design experience, including succession coverage and compensation architecture for C-level and critical roles.
Working Relationship Between CEO and President
- Collaboration: Both roles coordinate closely to ensure that strategic objectives set by the President are translated into operational execution by the CEO and the broader leadership team.
- Distinct Focus: The CEO drives operational performance, manages the C-level hierarchy through the COO, and ensures initiatives are delivered efficiently; the President monitors overall organizational health, evaluates long-term growth, and provides governance guidance.
- Shared Accountability: Both report to the Board of Directors, with clearly defined responsibilities: the CEO ensures the organization operates effectively day-to-day, while the President ensures it is moving in the right strategic direction.
